Mikado in Jacksonville

I’ve eaten here for lunch twice this week and it’s been excellent! Fast service, great food, reasonable prices.

I haven't been here for a while since it had Buffet, didn't like the service and the dish I ordered, it was kind of slow.... This place has so much potential but I do t know what's going on.

It's not that I disliked this place, but it is bit like the typical places I go for this type of food. The ac was out, we say for about 15 minutes before anyone even came and took our drink order and the hibachi chef seemed not in to cooking. The other tables out on a much better show. So considering we went there for my boyfriends birthday and it was our first time there I was disappointed.

Good food a good portion of food for a little bit of money . I had the chicken lunch special it came with a egg roll , waton , some kind of fried dumpling I think , vegetables , sushi, soup and a salad . For 9 dollars .

Great service. Took my wife there on Valentine's Day and was seated and served very quickly. Food was very good and fresh.

Nice quiet and clean Restaurant! Great for family lunch/diner or just for 2.people.

Good service, nice hot green tea. Tasty hot tempura, perfect tender scallops, however the shrimp and chicken were tough according to the others.

Love the staff here, so friendly and the food was amazing. Get the shrimp and filet, and don't forget the seafood sauce 😍 for a quiet experience, go around 3pm on a Saturday! We were the only ones there!

We really enjoy our visits here. The back room has a gorgeous view. Its quiet for conversation The food is always tasty and the wait staff is very attentive, but not annoying

Have missed coming here! We moved to Mandarin, but used to come all the time when they were right on Phillips and when they 1st moved. The spicy tuna rolls were great, and the sushi chef was very accommodating to add eel to the top as a special request (for a small extra charge) Also when inquiring about salmon and masago eggs we were given a sample of the latter and decided to add it on top of the sushi rolls. They have the best Miso soup and the rice was good. BTW the wasabi- very hot!! 🔥👍😉

Presentation of food could have been better. The chef made a big fire at the beginning and tapped a cooking spoon on the metal salt shaker. That was all the entertainment we got. ☹😴

Missing this place very much during this quarantine. Can’t wait to see all of the employees once they reopen. Praying health, wellness, and blessings.

Very disappointed.. the location from the outside looked nice and inviting. Once we got up close to see the fountain broken down and not many people inside we were more concerned. We are at the hibachi table and the chef didn't do any creative or entertaining cooking like all other locations. He literally just cooked the food. It was so so not horrible but was very disappointed in no show at all! No volcano no jokes no twirls nothing... it's not the cheapest place either so I thought for sure it would be good but was wrong. Every other hibachi in jax has been better so far :(

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and were seated promptly. The server came out to take our order and it seemed that she was capturing everything appropriately, but brought my sister's order out incorrectly twice (since hers had to be specially cooked in the back). The portions of the food served were huge, the entertainment value that's usually associated with a hibachi grill was incredibly low. But the food was good. Food was good, mai tai was average, food was a little expensive for what it was, but it was overall a good experience.

They actually know us there! And the sushi chef always knows what I want and it's always perfectly prepared!!

I love eating here, I've been a fan since they opened. I've never had bad service or an inattentive server. The food has always been great, and I absolutely love their sushi.

HORRIBLE isn't the point of a Japanese steak House to have fun and interact when your at the hibachi table? Everyone especially the chef had very little interaction with us and just cooked. When I go to a Japanese steakhouse I plan for fun and a big bill. This lacked fun but delivered over priced dry steak and seafood.

Fantastic place! The staff was very friendly and respectful. The food was fun to watch being made and the portion sizes were massive! Sure it’s pricy but at a place like this you pay for the own experience. This was a great date night idea thanks to my wife. We will be coming back for sure!

We've been there a few times within the past month. The food was great, and so was the service!

Horrible. My wife and I wanted to try a different place for Hibachi and walkee out completely disappointed. Server didnt help us until a good 15minutes after we sat down, messed up our appetizer order which took even longer to come than the actual chef.The hibachi experience was probably the worst I have ever had. He tossed and egg twice, failed to crack them and then just gave up on the whole show, just cooked while looking down. Not even a nod. If you are looking for a great Hibachi experience, DONT GO HERE!!

This location is tucked away off of US-1/Phillips Hwy. Plenty of parking and convenient to the Avenues Mall. The exterior & interior is well maintained, the staff is very friendly and polite. We attempted to get in an early dinner around 430. Unfortunately, we were not able to stay and eat as the Baby was being fussy this time. So, when we do get to stop in and eat I will update the review and let you know how the food and service at the hibachi grill is.

Excellent customer service...we were seated right away. The chef preparing our food was extremely nice ... I guess it is their custom to say "thank you" after each and every question that is asked. I absolutely loved this place & I have plans on returning again soon. Oh, did I mention the food was great!!!

The chefs are very entertaining and the food is both delicious and well priced. I've been here several times and never had anything less than a fantastic experience.

Well it was clean from what my eyes saw, the staff & boss was super cool. The only thing was the place had fly's... I didn't notice until halfway through my meal🤦🏽‍♂️

Visted July 2018. Reasonable priced Hibachi. We ordered the Dinner for two special. Which included an upgrade to Filet Mignon, along with the shrimp and Lobster. Very generous portions. The Chef and other staff were very friendly. The Sake was good🍵🤙

The place was nice but I didn't like the fact they didn't want to sit us until the whole party was there. Then they said we was going to a party room but they ended up sitting us at 2 tables because the lady sat another party at our table. The food was good.

We ordered takeout today through Grubhub since there is no dine in. We absolutely love hibachi and going to mikados so we decided to order dinner for our family of 5. I have never been so disappointed in my life to receive boxes of plain rice and veggies that did not remotely look/taste the same; we could tell that neither of them had been grilled. We got a couple of extra shrimp in each box and they were so rubbery, like it had been cooked ahead of time and thrown in the box. One soup was completely spilled in the bag and some sauces were as well. We will most definitely not order take out again.

Excellent food. Moderate price. Cooks don't speak very good English, so you really have to explain special orders.

I ordered Bento chicken teriyaki. Disappointed, the egg roll was burnt. Fried rice was basically white rice with an egg scrambled into it with no taste. The chicken was dry with barely any teriyaki flavor. The sushi rolls were actually very good. Really lost my appetite overall. I wont be back here.

Excellent Japanese Hibachi tables, but regular tables and menus available. Food is fresh and hot, good service and friendly staff. Well worth the visit.
